Thank You
May 30th, 2009
Over the course of this 24-day campaign, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and talking with thousands of my fellow Virginia Republicans. Almost without exception, I found ears, hearts, and minds that were open and welcoming, ready to engage in frank and meaningful discussions about the future of our party.
For the willingness of so many to even consider my candidacy, I am eternally grateful. That so many of you responded with your own hopes and ideas for the future of our party is a very encouraging sign for our prospects in 2009 and beyond.
This afternoon, Chairman Mullins was elected by the Convention. I congratulate him on his victory. Collectively, we Republicans have placed our confidence in him, and he has won election to a term of office that lasts through May 2012.
Your Party. Your Chairman. Your Choice.

I declared my candidacy for State Chairman just three weeks and two days ago. During these 23 days, I have been promoting my positive vision for the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV).
Today, I’m releasing my final pre-Convention video message to you, my fellow delegates.
Standing up for our principles and values

Because my campaign for RPV Chairman began less than a month before the State Convention, I haven’t had the opportunity to visit all the units I would have liked, to talk to grassroots Republicans face-to-face about my vision for our Party and our conservative movement.
To help address the shortcomings of an abbreviated campaign, I’ve distributed some videos of me addressing my fellow delegates directly, featuring some thoughts and specific plans that should help you understand just what kind of Chairman I will be.
