Your Party. Your Chairman. Your Choice.
I declared my candidacy for State Chairman just three weeks and two days ago. During these 23 days, I have been promoting my positive vision for the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV).
Today, I’m releasing my final pre-Convention video message to you, my fellow delegates.
If you’ve been following this contest, you’ve witnessed a campaign of which I am very proud. I unveiled my Agenda for RPV at the outset, setting forth detailed guidelines for our party that will make our party stronger and more responsive to our grassroots volunteers and activists. Earlier this week, I got even more specific. With the release of my 14-Point Plan for Republican Victory, I am advancing proposals that – in many cases – are long overdue.
Of course, it hasn’t just been our ideas that have distinguished our campaign. The delivery methods we have employed have been contemporary – and affordable.
We have used emails frequently to ensure that our detailed message got out to the delegates who will be making this choice. We have employed a comprehensive approach to Internet campaigning, integrating our outreach on billstanleyforchairman.com with Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, our YouTube channel, and our group on the RPV Network. We’ve even cut low-cost video messages and distributed them directly to delegates. As a result, we’ve reached thousands in a cost-effective, modern communications effort.
We didn’t disregard traditional media either. In addition to mailing our materials directly to delegates, I’ve attended multiple Republican gatherings, talked endlessly on the phone with delegates, personally responded to their emails, and conducted interviews with both new and traditional media.
You can expect more of this approach if I’m elected Chairman. Last year, the Democrats outpaced us in effectively utilizing every communications tool available them. We can never let that happen again. As demonstrated by my campaign, I will use all communications tools available to me to ensure that our positive message of conservative principles and traditional values is taken directly to the voting public.
This will not be another statewide Convention until 2012, so this is the last opportunity you will have to weigh in on who should lead the Republican Party of Virginia. I hope that in this campaign, I’ve given you a clear indication of what I’ll do as Chairman to elect our nominees and advance our conservative principles and traditional values. It is also my hope that I’ve earned your vote.
I look forward to seeing you at the Convention.
